My Services and Approach

I take a client-centered approach, working closely with my clients to understand their goals and create a personalized treatment plan.  My Theoretical style is quite varied as I incorporate elements from different therapeutic styles such as CBT Techniques, narrative therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy and solution-focused therapy. 

I take a client-centered approach, working closely with my clients to understand their goals and create a personalized treatment plan.  My Theoretical style is quite varied as I incorporate elements from different therapeutic styles such as CBT Techniques, narrative therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy and solution-focused therapy.  In essence, I see our therapy sessions as akin to solving a puzzle, gathering various pieces to determine how to facilitate healing, improve relationships, overcome personal obstacles, and achieve goals and aspirations.  Throughout this process, I prioritize the establishment of a trusting and supportive therapeutic relationship

BA in Sociology: Kent State University, 1996

MA in Counseling: Chapman University, 1998


In 2000 I began my career as a school counselor, and in 2006 became provisionally licensed as a mental health therapist in the state of North Carolina.  In 2007, I became fully licensed and went on to open a counseling agency in which I had several other

In 2000 I began my career as a school counselor, and in 2006 became provisionally licensed as a mental health therapist in the state of North Carolina.  In 2007, I became fully licensed and went on to open a counseling agency in which I had several other therapists working in my practice.  Today, I am fully licensed in three states:


North Carolina: LCMHC 2007

Colorado: LPC, 2022

Ohio: LPCC: 2024
